EcoFarm AI utilizes a 1080p camera that captures clear images at set intervals. Using the Raspberry Pi 5 central brain, it prepares each image before sending it to Vertex AI. The vision model looks for specific visual signs that indicate problems, including color changes, spotting patterns, leaf curling, and texture shifts that often appear before damage is obvious. The AI returns a confidence score along with the exact part of the plant where the issue was found. Medium confidence cases are saved for review and, once confirmed, are added to the training data so the model becomes more accurate the longer it operates. When the confidence is high, the system sends an alert and can automatically adjust watering, airflow, or lighting to correct the problem.
